Welcome to Great Bentley

Great Bentley is located in Essex within the Tendring District; it is approximately 60 miles North East of London and 10 miles from Colchester. The village is within a few miles of the seaside towns of Frinton, Clacton, Walton, Dovercourt and Brightlingsea. The port of Harwich is also easy to access from the village by road. Great Bentley’s closest neighbours are the villages of Frating, Thorrington, St. Osyth, Little Bentley, and Weeley.

The population of the parish of Great Bentley, as measured in the 2001 census, is 2,259.
